Formentera

Formentera is Ibiza's smaller, quieter sister, a flat ribbon of dunes and translucent water just across a short stretch of sea. The beach at Ses Illetes regularly ranks among the most beautiful in Europe, with sand so pale and water so clear it looks tropical. Many visitors come for the day on a boat trip or ferry, rent a bicycle or scooter, and spend their hours drifting between sandbars, beach bars and snorkelling spots before sailing back at dusk.
